2008
The Employment Training Programserved 84 people in 2008. ETP provides a
wide variety of community based services for individuals who have a developmental, or other, disability, and are looking for work. Services
include: functional assessments on actual work sites, job development and training, and long-term follow-up.

The average age of all clients served is 37 years. The youngest clients are 21 and the oldest client is 62.

The largest ethnic group served was Caucasian (N=64), the next largest group was Asian (N=9), followed by Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (N=3), Black/African-American (N=3) and Hispanic/Latino (N=1).

Initial Referral:
In 2008, 16 new clients were referred to UWETP for services. Clients were most frequently referred by the Division of Vocational
Rehabilitation (N=8) followed by schools (N=6) and self or advocate (N=2).

Quantity of Services:
During 2008, the total number of service hours reported for 84 clients was 7,230. The majority of these service hours were for job
development, retention, replacement and follow-along for clients receiving long-term funding through KCDD.

Employment Outcomes:
Of the 84 clients served in 2008, 65 were employed, 6 were in high school (as of December, 2008; of these, 2 were employed), 7 exited
the program (1 with job, 3 without employment, 1 retirement and 2 moved from the area) and 8 were unemployed and in the job development phase.

Client Hours worked:
Six ETP clients worked full time in 2007 and an additional 28 worked between 20 and 36 hours per week.

Client Wages and Benefits:
66% of the clients employed in 2008 earned over the minimum wage with an average wage of $9.51/hour. 21% of the employed clients reported employer-provided benefits. These benefits included vacation and sick leave and retirement.
